On Wednesday April 12th CSS hosted the Army Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), inviting Ms. Kim Buehler, Director OSBP and Mr. James Lloyd, Program Manager for HUBZone (Historically Under-Utilized Business Zone) and SDVOSB (Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) Programs to attend meetings to discuss the HUBZone Community and capabilities of small businesses in the Leesburg HUBZone. Our community meeting included community leaders and members of Leesburg Economic Development and CSS Employees living in the Leesburg HUBZone who discussed specific programs they work with in support of the underserved communities in Leesburg, including Educando Con Amor, InMed Partnerships for Children and Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  In addition, several local HUBZone businesses presented their capabilities to help dispel the idea that small businesses, including HUBZone, cannot support large projects. The meeting was very successful, with much learned by both Industry and Government attendees. We will continue this relationship of open communication, using it as a model to facilitate understanding between Government and Small Businesses to assist Government in meeting and exceeding their Small Business goals.
